The best of both

Pure scripts break the moment a page changes. Pure AI is flexible but hard to trust for anything that runs repeatedly. Stanley combines both into something more useful than either.

Traditional Scripts

Fast — until something changes

Hardcoded selectors break the moment a site updates its layout. Keeping them working becomes its own job.

  • Breaks on UI changes
  • Requires code to build
  • No natural language input
Pure AI Agents

Flexible — but unpredictable

Great at understanding intent, inconsistent at execution. Hard to audit, hard to trust for tasks that need to run the same way every time.

  • Non-deterministic runs
  • Hard to verify before it acts
  • No structured execution layer
Stanley
Structured + Intelligent

Reliable by design. Adaptive by nature.

A defined execution engine handles your actions with precision. AI handles the planning, element detection, and recovery when things vary.

  • Consistent, auditable steps
  • Plain-English input
  • Adapts when pages change

Everything you need to automate anything

Stanley combines AI planning with local execution — so you get the intelligence of a large language model with the reliability of a real browser on your own machine.

Plain-English Instructions

Describe what you want done the way you'd explain it to a colleague. No selectors, no scripts, no configuration files. Stanley's AI translates your words into a precise sequence of browser actions.

Review Before It Runs

Stanley shows you the full step-by-step plan before executing anything. Approve it, cancel it, or adjust your prompt — you stay in control of every action.

Runs Locally, Stays Private

Every workflow executes in a real browser on your own Windows machine. Your credentials, session data, and results never leave your computer.

Vision-Powered Element Detection

When standard selectors can't find an element, Stanley takes a screenshot and uses AI vision to locate exactly the right button, field, or link — even on complex or dynamic pages.

Multi-Tab Workflows

Open, switch, and close tabs as part of a single workflow. Log into one service, cross-reference another, and compile everything — all in one automated run.

Walk Away & Get Notified

Start a workflow, close the popup, and do something else. Stanley runs in the background and sends you a desktop notification the moment it finishes — or if it needs your help.

From prompt to done in three steps

Stanley keeps you in control at every stage — you describe the goal, review the plan, then let it run.

Windows 10 / 11 required. Stanley installs a lightweight background service that runs on your machine.
1

Describe your workflow

Open the Stanley extension popup and type what you want done in plain English — the same way you'd explain it to someone sitting next to you.

2

Review the plan

Stanley's AI generates a step-by-step action plan and displays it before running anything. Confirm when you're satisfied — or refine your prompt and regenerate.

3

Walk away

Stanley executes the workflow in a real browser on your machine. Close the popup and get on with your day — you'll get a desktop notification the moment it's done.

What people automate with Stanley

If you've done it in a browser more than twice, you shouldn't be doing it manually.

Pulling reports from portals

"Log into our analytics portal, set the date range to last week, and download the performance report to my Downloads folder."

Routine account management

"Go to our vendor portal, find any invoices marked unpaid from the last 30 days, and copy their reference numbers into a list."

Repetitive form submissions

"Fill out and submit our daily compliance checklist on the city permit portal — same answers as yesterday."

Cross-site research & monitoring

"Check our top three competitor sites for any pricing changes and give me a summary of what's different from last time."

Scheduled data collection

"Every morning, log into our booking system and export today's appointments to a CSV in my Documents folder."

Multi-service workflows

"Pull last week's new customers from our CRM, then open our email tool and add each one to the onboarding sequence."

Common Questions

Real answers to the questions you'd actually ask before trusting a daemon on your machine.

Does Stanley violate the terms of service of websites I use it on?
Stanley is a general-purpose browser automation tool — similar to using a macro or keyboard-shortcut program. How you use it is your responsibility. We recommend reviewing a site's terms before automating interactions with it. Stanley does not rotate IPs, spoof headers, or misrepresent your identity. It controls a real browser on your own machine the same way you would manually.
What operating system does Stanley support?
Windows 10 and Windows 11 only. The desktop daemon is a Windows-native executable (.exe). macOS and Linux support are on the roadmap but not yet available. Please do not purchase if you are on a Mac or Linux machine.
What happens immediately after I check out?
After your Stripe payment completes you are redirected to a secure setup page. From there you download the Windows daemon (.exe) and Chrome extension (.zip), then create your Stanley account credentials in about 60 seconds. Your purchase ID is shown on the Stripe receipt in case you ever need to re-access the setup page.
Is there a refund policy?
Yes. If Stanley does not work as described on your Windows machine within the first 7 days of your subscription, contact us at contact@bridgewayapps.com for a full refund — no questions asked.
What does Stanley actually install on my machine?
The daemon accesses only what it needs to run your workflows: it launches a Chromium process, reads task instructions from the Chrome extension via Chrome's native messaging protocol, and writes output (e.g. scraped data) to a local JSON file. It does not access your files, passwords, clipboard, camera, microphone, or any other system resource. All data stays on your machine. You can review the full privacy policy here.

Stanley is built and maintained by Bridgeway Apps, a small software team focused on practical tools for everyday business workflows. We built Stanley because the gap between "I need this automated" and "I can write code to automate it" is where most businesses lose hours every week. Stanley closes that gap — describe the task, review the plan, walk away. Questions? Reach us at contact@bridgewayapps.com.
